Definition of a Federalist

1. An advocate of federalism
2. A supporter of The United States government, especially in the early years of the country.

Federalism
1. A system of government in which power is divided between a central authority and constituent political units.

Woodrow Wilson wrote in 1911:
"The proper balance of state and national powers in the American federal system is not a matter that can be settled by the opinion of any one generation". Changes in the social and economic condition of the society require each successive generation to treat the federal-state relationship as a "new question" subject to full and searching reappraisal.

As a burgeoning political party, on the precipice of 2009, reappraisal is surely at hand. It is time for the individual political landfills inhabiting the depths of our society and calling themselves Democrat and Republican to be found accountable for their actions against the citizens of the United States of America.

The question remains...how?
